   The original Golden Gun used by Francisco Scaramanga in the James Bond novel by Ian Fleming ”The Man with the Golden Gun” was a gold-plated Colt Peacemaker. 45 revolver that fired silver-jacketed bullets with a gold core. This was changed to the famous single-shot custom disguised component gun in the film.

    Well-put statement on this whole gun-control scare/AR buying panic:

    First, let me say this. I know it is tempting to run out and buy a lifetime worth of AR-15 magazines, but I believe that you would probably be better off spending some time and energy contacting your Representatives to tell them how displeased you would be with new gun control legislation than spending time and energy tracking down magazines.
